Oh how I love updated photos of the kids! And I especially love hearing about children finally being united with their new families. One such amazing girl is Eyerus who first visited her family in New York City during the summer's Bright Future Camp which allows prospective adoptive families to host a child from Ethiopia. The mission of the camp is to build positive awareness of international adoption and increase awareness of the many more children in orphanages needing permanent homes. I received two photos from Ellie Mestas who recently returned from Addis with her new siblings, all 3 of them!!! I'm so happy for their growing family. She was kind enough to send two photos of two of the cutest children ever (okay, I may be a little bias) :) Thank you again Ellie!

Lonely Tsegerida... awaiting the arrival of her parents!!! They arrived yesterday in Addis!! Congrats Renee and Geert! I'm so happy for you! And I can't wait to visit you in Atantla in January.

Starfish Poem

As I walked along the seashore
This young boy greeted me.
He was tossing stranded starfish
Back to the deep blue sea.
I said, 'Tell me why you bother,
Why you waste your time this way.
There's a million stranded starfish
Does it matter, anyway?'

And he said, 'It matters to this one.
It deserves a chance to grow.
