Okay, so the document that was being requested - is no longer needed. In fact the Kebele is no longer issuing the document that had been requested by MoWA. What IS necessary is an additional LOCAL court date!!!!!!!!
Seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly?????????
What I'm referring to here is not the usual Federal First Instance Court, but a local court. So the person who needs to complete the document and has shown up at the Kebele 4 times already, now needs to request an additional court date for him/herself. After that ruling - a opinion will be issued. After an opinion is issued, the Federal First Instance Court and MoWA will review the opinion and then supposedly grant the adoption.
How much fun is this??????
Gladney is hopeful that we will get a quick court date - meaning 2-4 weeks out, but it's unknown and they'll hopefully learn more tomorrow.

Letter to my Daugther
To my beautiful daughter,
Hi Sweetie! I just can't tell you how much I love you in this letter. Someday, I hope very soon, I'll be able to tell you just how much I love you while giving you a big, giant hug - I miss those giant hugs of yours and I miss you just sitting on my hip all day being right there beside me. You've been such a big girl and so strong getting through this long process - I'm so very very proud of you.
Ryan tells me you're doing great in school, sweetie. Keep up that great work!
Mama is staying busy getting everything ready for you to come home! Don't worry, I think you'll be kind of happy to have missed all the cold weather here - there has been a lot of snow! It's warming up and we're finally able to enjoy walking outside and playing. For me, the snow is like the rainy season - not much fun because you can't play outside as often. I haven't played outside in quite a long time because of the cold - so I'm excited to share that with you very soon and we'll be able to enjoy the warm weather together.
Inay Konjo lij - I love you always and forever and I think about you all the time. I have your pictures everywhere and am always talking about you to everyone. I'm so very proud of my little girl. When you're lonely and feel sad, know that though you cannot see me - I'm thinking about you all the time and loving you all the time - everyday and every moment. I know it's tough to stay strong, but I hope that we'll be together very very soon.
I love you. You are inay alem.

Document Update: Also found out today that the document needed for court on Thursday still hasn't been completed. At this point - I'm just lost. I have no idea what I should do. If we don't pass this time, will we pass next time? Should I schedule a trip to visit because I don't know how much longer this could take? What is best for Beamlak? It's just so difficult not having a timeline - and yes, I am well aware that many people struggle with this - it's just a very difficult place to be. I'm so so very blessed to work in international adoption - but last week one of my families was able to be united with their child after only accepting their referral 1 1/2 weeks ago. Amazing! Truly. And I'm so happy for them. But it just gets me thinking - Is passing after 16 months really asking too much?

Update on Document!
Okay, first you MUST look to the post below this one first!! And I want to hear from you regarding the photo :)
I can't sleep (go figure) so I decided that it is time to give a little update (even though most of my family can't figure out the whole blog thing :) )
So the biggest concern for the court date is making sure that the document that was requested is completed in time for the court appearance. We didn't know if we would be able to track down the person that needs to complete the document (which in itself is a week long process, minimum). So Jessica (my worker) has kindly and generously updated me regularly regarding whether or not they have located the person... and last Wednesday... they did!!! Gladney is confident, seeing that there is still 16 days before court (from today) that the document will be completed in time. Thank Goodness!
I'm still worried about another hiccup occurring at court, as I just saw that some families are on their 5th or 6th court dates, I don't know how they have remained sane - perhaps agencies should be updating our home studies for psychological health fluctuations caused from the international adoption process ;) Let's hope that the court finally recognizes that Beamlak needs and deserves to finally be part of a family.
The Journey Continues...

The Journey Continues...
Ms. PI
Okay, so I was doing my monthly internet search for photos of Kechene and I actually came across TWO NEW PHOTOS OF BEAMLAK!
Yippee! I hear you exclaiming it as well ;)
Okay so I saw the first photo below first and it just had me smiling from ear to ear - she's just too cute, okay... beautiful!

The second photo is with many many people in it, but she's there on the right hand side in the front row. I can't wait to ask what they were watching as it appears that they are watching a production of some kind in the upper most part of the Kechene compound.
