So I didn't take as many pictures as I had intended but the few I did take are pretty cute! I just can't thank Renee and Geert for taking me under their wing and allowing me to visit and spend so much time with their family. It's amazing the changes in Maryn Tsegerida and Keller Tariku! They're as adorable as ever and I couldn't be more happy that they have FINALLY found their home forever.
Maryn Tsegerida, as expected is learning English at an astounding rate! It's just amazing. I didn't know what to expect upon seeing her, would she speak to me in Amharic or English? Well, it was certainly English. As the extended weekend rolled on I spoke to her in Amharic and she began replying in it as well. I just love her personality when she's expressing herself in Amharic (and English for that matter!) She's so animated and witty! Mommy crazy? Daddy crazy? Bettina crazy?
Little Keller Tariku is absolutely beautiful and his personality is just pouring out in ways that were never allowed at Kechene. And he LOVES doing everything his big sister does. He also loved digging into injera and wat!
I just can't express enough my gratitude. It was a blast of a weekend! And I hope the next time I see their family I'll have one of my own in tow :) Patience is a virtue.
Side Note: See Kari, you just have to be a little patient :) Here are the photos you were dying to see!
